How privacy works here

What this site does not do

• No cookies. Not even a "necessary" one, so there is no cookie banner.
• No third-party requests. Fonts, images and code are all served from this domain - your visit is never disclosed to Google, a CDN, or anyone else.
• No advertising, no fingerprinting, no social media embeds or share-button trackers.
• No accounts, no comments platform, no data sold or shared - there is nothing to sell.

Analytics

I like to know which posts people find useful, so this site uses privacy-preserving analytics measured at the network edge by the host (Cloudflare). It counts page views in aggregate - no cookies, no client-side tracking script, no personal identifiers, and no cross-site tracking - and it never builds a profile of you.

The contact form

The contact form sends one email, to me, through a form handler running on my own infrastructure. Your name, email address and message exist in my inbox and nowhere else. I use them only to reply to you, and I delete the thread when the conversation is done. Nothing is added to a mailing list - if I ever start a newsletter it will be strictly opt-in.

Server logs

Like every web host, mine keeps short-lived technical logs to detect abuse and keep the site running. These are handled by the hosting provider; IP addresses are not retained long-term, and the logs are not used to track or profile visitors.

Links elsewhere

When a post links to another site, that site's own privacy practices apply from the moment you click. I link to privacy-respecting places where a choice exists.

Your rights, and questions

Under UK GDPR you can ask me what I hold about you (almost certainly: at most, an email you sent me), ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just drop me a line - no form, no process, I'll just do it.
