Accessibility statement

Conformance target

The aim is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and Level AAA wherever it is achievable without harming clarity - for example, generous colour contrast, visible focus on everything, and text that reflows and resizes cleanly.

What's in place

• A "skip to main content" link, semantic landmarks, and one clear heading order on every page.
• Visible keyboard focus everywhere, and interactive targets at least 44×44 pixels.
• Full support for dark mode and for the "reduce motion" setting.
• A reader text-size control on articles, and layouts that reflow to 400% zoom.
• Meaningful alternative text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

How it's tested

Every change is checked automatically before it ships: the axe-core and HTML CodeSniffer engines run against every page in both light and dark themes, and a Lighthouse accessibility score of 100 is required to merge. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so pages are also checked by keyboard and with a screen reader.

Known limitations

This is a living site and the content archive is still being migrated. If you find a page that is hard to use, that is a bug I want to fix - please tell me.
